As It Is: Signing

As It Is bring an intimate in-store live set and signing to Rough Trade Bristol on 24 July 2026, celebrating their new self-titled album. Formed in Brighton in 2012, the pop punk and emo band has built its voice around singer Patty Walters, with guitarist Ronnie Ish and bassist Alistair Testo shaping a sound that moves between melodic urgency and darker shades. Early releases like Never Happy, Ever After and okay. set a tone of catchy writing and candid themes, before The Great Depression leaned into a more conceptual approach around mental health. In 2022, I Went To Hell And Back continued to blend speed, weight and hooks, anchored by Walters’ upfront vocals.

This in-store appearance traces that evolution in close quarters: expect sharp, compact songs, new material from the self-titled era and a few fan favourites adapted for the room, followed by a signing with the band. A snapshot of where As It Is are heading right now, at Rough Trade Bristol.
