Info
Ibrahim Maalouf brings his new project Trumpets of Michel-Ange to Cambridge Corn Exchange on Saturday 13 June 2026, as part of his UK tour. The French-Lebanese trumpeter and composer has taken his music across borders over the past decade, picking up Grammy nominations for Queen of Sheba (2022) and Capacity to Love (2023), several Victoires awards in France, and recognition well beyond jazz. Recent milestones include a sold-out Accor Arena show in 2023 and a series of international tours.
On stage, Maalouf leads a sharp live band through pieces from Trumpets of Michel-Ange alongside highlights from his catalogue. The set moves between jazz and contemporary pop, with melodies tinted by his Middle Eastern heritage and a lyrical, voice-like trumpet tone. Arrangements leave room for improvisation without losing the pull of song form, a balance refined across years of collaboration and touring. A chance to catch an artist in constant motion, presenting where his music stands now, at Cambridge Corn Exchange on 13 June 2026.
