Ye Vagabonds

Ye Vagabonds bring their finely woven folk to Norwich Arts Centre on 10 June 2026. Led by the Mac Gloinn brothers, Brian and Diarmuid, the project began on the street as a busking duo and has grown into a live collective where the songs breathe and expand. On stage, acoustic and electric guitars thread through trumpet lines; upright bass and Moog set a discreet pulse; harmonium and bouzouki add grain and colour; fiddle lifts the tunes. Above it all, the siblings’ close blood harmonies carry stories with a warm, shifting timbre. Rooted in Irish tradition yet open to the present, their set moves from unadorned ballads to original pieces that lean into texture and space, letting arrangements rise and fall rather than sit still. Recognised at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards with Best Track, Best Album and Best Folk Group, they shape a sound that’s quiet, detailed and resolutely song-first. In Norwich, they deliver an intimate performance that favours the craft of the melody and the quiet power of two voices in step.
