Info
Wet Wet Wet mark four decades of Popped In Souled Out with a show at Victoria Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, on 17 February 2027. Formed in Clydebank near Glasgow, the band shaped a melodic meeting point between pop and soul, balancing warm harmonies, keyboards and a steady groove. Their 1987 debut, Popped In Souled Out, set the tone with big hooks and orchestral-tinged ballads, a path they explored on The Memphis Sessions and Holding Back the River before opening a new chapter in the 2000s. On stage, Wet Wet Wet reconnect that catalogue with the present, revisiting the songs that defined their early years alongside more recent material, with arrangements that keep the focus on melody and feel.
Support comes from Roachford, the project led by London singer and keyboard player Andrew Roachford. Sitting between rock, contemporary R&B and classic soul, Roachford leans on groove, direct melodies and piano-led drive. From the late-80s breakthrough to newer tracks, his set draws on straight-ahead songwriting and a live approach that pairs neatly with Wet Wet Wet’s pop-soul DNA.
