The Maine

The Maine headline SWG3 Glasgow on 23 September 2026, with special guests. Formed in 2007 in Tempe, Arizona, the quintet — John O’Callaghan, Jared Monaco, Kennedy Brock, Garrett Nickelsen and Pat Kirch — has carved a path between pop rock, pop punk and alternative rock, with a clear taste for melody and lyrics that stick. From their emo-pop beginnings on Can’t Stop Won’t Stop (2008) through Black & White (2010) and Pioneer (2011), they’ve gradually leaned into a more guitar-driven pop rock, shaping a catalogue that spans Forever Halloween (2013), American Candy (2015), Lovely Little Lonely (2017), You Are OK (2019), XOXO: From Love and Anxiety in Real Time (2021) and their self-titled album The Maine (2023).

On stage, the band moves easily across eras, linking early tracks to newer cuts with punchy riffs, steady rhythms and choruses built to be sung back. O’Callaghan’s voice leads the way while Monaco and Brock layer bright and gritty textures, anchored by Nickelsen and Kirch’s tight backbone. Expect a set that traces their evolution without losing the immediacy of their songs. Special guests will open the evening at SWG3 Glasgow, Glasgow.
