Primus

On 17 August 2026, Primus brings its off‑center rock to O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester. Led by bassist and vocalist Les Claypool with guitarist Larry LaLonde, the band has long mixed alternative metal, funk and progressive impulses, with a bass line that leads from the front and rhythms that twist without losing the groove.

Formed in the Bay Area in the mid‑80s, Primus moved from underground shows to albums that set their tone, from Frizzle Fry and Sailing the Seas of Cheese to Pork Soda and Tales from the Punchbowl, then returned in the 2010s with new projects and experiments. Now joined by drummer John Hoffman, the trio keeps the live set sharp and elastic, shifting from jagged riffs to oddball narratives with steady precision.
