Info
Social Distortion play KOKO, London on 16 June 2026. Formed in late-70s Fullerton, the band built its identity around singer and guitarist Mike Ness, blending West Coast punk with classic rock’n’roll, rockabilly, country and a touch of blues. From the raw charge of Mommy’s Little Monster to the more roots-leaning Prison Bound, then the self-titled album and the run that followed (Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell, White Light, White Heat, White Trash), the group has shaped tight, melodic songs about struggle, relapse and second chances.
After the loss of cofounder Dennis Danell, Ness kept the project moving with players including Jonny Wickersham, pushing toward a road-worn, heartland tone on Sex, Love and Rock ’n’ Roll and Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes. On stage, that mix lands with overdriven guitars and plainspoken storytelling, tracing a line from early OC urgency to later, more roots-driven colors.
