Cassia bring their sun-leaning indie pop to Chalk in Brighton on 11 November 2026. Formed in Macclesfield, the trio blend indie pop and pop rock with rhythms drawn from African and tropical influences: clean, ringing guitars, supple percussion and bittersweet melodies. After a run of singles and EPs, they released Replica in 2019, then Why You Lacking Energy? in 2022, tightening the songwriting while keeping the direct impulse of their early days. On stage, they weave light, danceable grooves with a gentle vocal tone and a more introspective colour, a balance that makes their sound instantly identifiable without heavy effects. Tours across the UK and Europe have broadened their scope and nudged the production toward something roomier and more detailed, still anchored by rhythm and melody. The set moves between buoyant, percussive cuts and reflective, slow-blooming moments, where themes of travel and the road meet alternative pop sensibility and straightforward British songwriting. Special guests join.
