Nashville’s Kings of Leon — brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill with their cousin Matthew — bring their blend of alternative, garage and Southern rock to Ormeau Park in Belfast on 29 June 2026. Raised between Oklahoma and the American South, the band forged a sound around Caleb Followill’s grainy voice, tight rhythms and lyrics that tap into youth, family ties and everyday tension.

From the raw edge of Youth & Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak to the broader writing of Because of the Times, the group steadily widened its scope. Only by the Night and Come Around Sundown pushed toward a more expansive, melodic approach fit for big stages. Mechanical Bull and WALLS kept a balance between bite and atmosphere, while When You See Yourself leaned into softer textures and a more introspective tone. In 2024, Can We Please Have Fun marked a return to a direct, no-frills approach, putting the band’s interplay and sharp songcraft up front.

On stage, the quartet shifts between taut rockers and slow-burn songs, carried by rugged guitars and a steady pulse that keeps the focus on the essentials.
