On 26 September 2026, O2 Academy Birmingham hosts I Prevail for The Violent Nature Tour UK & Europe 2026, alongside Gore.
Formed in 2013 in the Detroit suburbs, I Prevail forged a sound between metalcore and post-hardcore: heavy guitars, a push-and-pull between screamed and clean vocals, and melodies that nod to alternative rock. A viral cover of Blank Space first put them on the map, followed by the 2014 EP Heart vs. Mind, which set the template for their contrasts in intensity and tone. Lifelines in 2016 marked a step onto major stages across North America and Europe. With Trauma in 2019, and the live/reworked Post Traumatic the same year, the band folded in electronic elements and more spacious textures while keeping a hard-edged backbone. True Power in 2022 refined that mix again, threading aggression, hints of nu metal and clear, melodic passages. Their lyrics address mental health, relationships and social pressure with a directness that resonates with listeners raised on the 2010s rock and metal scenes.
