The Meltdown

The Meltdown bring their Melbourne-bred soul to Jazz Cafe, London, on 15 November 2026. Led by singer and keyboardist Simon Burke, the band weaves slow-burning ballads and R&B grooves with shades of country and gospel. Brass parts sit inside the songs rather than on top, the rhythm section stays lean, and the writing leaves space for melody and narrative. Emerging from Australia’s independent soul scene and linked to HopeStreet Recordings, they’ve shaped a sound that keeps one foot in 60s influences while keeping arrangements crisp and current.
