On 22 August 2026 at Earlham Park, Norwich, Rock N Roll Circus lines up a guitar-forward night led by The Kooks. Formed in Brighton in 2004, the band emerged from the mid-2000s indie wave with crisp guitars and a pop instinct shaped by britpop. From the acoustic-leaning Inside In/Inside Out to the more groove-aware Listen and the recent 10 Tracks to Echo in the Dark, The Kooks move between brisk indie and brighter, synth-tinged textures, avec un sens du refrain taillé pour l’extérieur.
The Fratellis bring the Glasgow trio’s punchy blend of garage rock and power pop. Costello Music fixed their taste for sharp riffs and big choruses, with staples like Chelsea Dagger and Whistle for the Choir setting the pace of their sets. Later records widened the palette — more soul here, a touch of orchestration there — without losing their melodic backbone.
The Vaccines add their fast, melodic strain of British alternative rock. Breaking through at the start of the 2010s, they stacked chart hits and shared stages with Arctic Monkeys, Muse and Arcade Fire, honing a set that moves quickly and hits clean. Leazes completes the bill, opening the day with fresh energy.
