Info
Tide Lines bring their Highlands-born, Glasgow-shaped folk rock to O2 Academy Birmingham on 8 May 2026. Led by singer Robert Robertson alongside Alasdair Turner, Ross Wilson and Fergus Munro, the band crafts songs steeped in coastal imagery and small-town life, blending modern pop writing with a Celtic streak and, at times, hints of Gaelic. Their debut Dreams We Never Lost (2017) set the tone with electric guitars and keys woven through folk textures, carried by clear, melodic vocals. Eye of the Storm (2020) tightened the arrangements, and An Ocean Full of Islands (2023) continued to explore memory, travel and community with a surer hand.
On stage, Tide Lines move between intimate storytelling and more driven, percussive passages, letting rhythm and melody lead rather than ornament. Expect steady builds, bright hooks and a set that keeps a close line between local roots and contemporary songwriting. It’s music that invites a shared energy without losing the detail of the lyrics, and a live moment where the band’s blend of tradition and pop sensibility finds its natural place.
