Raised in southern Indiana and based in Nashville, the singer-songwriter crafts songs that sit between alt-country, folk and indie rock, delivered with a gravelly voice and a taste for narrative detail. First known as the singer-guitarist in rock band AutoVaughn, he shifted toward writing for others before honing a solo sound that blends grunge shadows with acoustic clarity.
