The Shires

The Shires bring their British take on country-pop to Bristol Beacon on 20 November 2026. Formed in 2013, the duo of Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes blends Nashville’s storytelling with a grounded English sensibility. On stage, Rhodes’ lead voice and Earle’s harmonies steer songs about everyday life and relationships, carried by acoustic guitar, piano and a clear, melodic writing style.

After early support from BBC Radio 2 and C2C: Country to Country, The Shires built a catalogue that maps their transatlantic path: Brave (2015), My Universe (2016), Accidentally on Purpose (2018), Good Years (2020) and 10 Year Plan (2022). Their live set draws across these records, linking recent material with earlier singles and tracing a line from small‑town narratives to wide‑open choruses. Along the way, they’ve toured with Little Big Town, The Corrs, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Tom Jones and Tears for Fears, affirming a space between UK pop and contemporary country. In concert, the focus stays on close harmonies, melodic hooks and songwriting that speaks in plain, relatable detail.
