Papa Roach - Rise of the Roach

Papa Roach brings the Rise of the Roach tour to Utilita Arena Birmingham on 5 November 2026. Formed in 1993 in Vacaville, California, the band initially blended nu metal, rap rock and alternative metal before evolving its songwriting toward a more melodic hard rock and an alternative rock marked by straightforward choruses. Centered on Jacoby Shaddix’s voice, with Jerry Horton on guitar, Tobin Esperance on bass and Tony Palermo on drums, the quartet crafts songs where intense guitars meet accessible structures, alternating between clean singing and rougher, more abrasive phrasing.

The set draws on a strong discography, from Old Friends from Young Years to Ego Trip, including Infest, which defined the band’s original DNA, followed by Lovehatetragedy, Getting Away with Murder, The Paramour Sessions, Metamorphosis, The Connection, F.E.A.R., Crooked Teeth and Who Do You Trust?. The lyrics tackle psychological tension, relationships and mental health—recurring themes throughout their career. In Birmingham, Papa Roach come to showcase this blend of heavy riffs and clear melodies, backed by three decades on stage and a repertoire that spans several phases of their sound.
