Red Rum Club roll into Portsmouth Guildhall, Portsmouth, on 14 October 2026. Born in Crosby in 2016, the Liverpool outfit shape taut, melodic guitar music that moves between alternative rock and indie pop, with a bass-led drive, crisp riffs and clear, sing-along refrains. For years a trumpet gave their sound a subtle mariachi and Americana tint; 2026 marks a new chapter after Joe Corby’s departure, with the band carrying that identity onstage in a leaner configuration. Their catalogue runs from Matador (2019) and The Hollow of Humdrum (2020) to How to Steal the World (2021), Western Approaches (2024) and Buck (2025), widening their palette while keeping a distinctly Liverpool imprint.
On the road, they’ve taken these tracks from club rooms to Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Kendal Calling and Liverpool Sound City, and toured alongside Blossoms then The Wombats. Live, it’s hooks up front, a rhythm section locked in, and guitars right on the beat, with a set that pulls across the albums from Matador through Buck.
