On 27 June 2026 at Lincoln Castle, Bowling For Soup and Frank Turner share the stage for a night that moves from pop punk hooks to folk punk storytelling.
Formed in 1994 in Texas, Bowling For Soup shaped a direct pop punk sound tinged with punk rock and power pop, built on big choruses and wry nods to suburban life and pop culture. Around singer-guitarist Jaret Reddick, the band has rolled out albums from Let’s Do It for Johnny!! and Drunk Enough to Dance to Pop Drunk Snot Bread, keeping the pace brisk and the tone playful. Live, they lean on humor and audience connection, turning singalongs and self-deprecation into a trademark.
From the UK punk scene, Frank Turner moved from the post-hardcore surge of Million Dead to a more acoustic, melody-first solo writing, without losing punk’s drive. Since Sleep Is for the Week and Love Ire & Song, his songs blend folk rock textures, sharp hooks and candid lyrics, sometimes widened on stage with The Sleeping Souls. Records like England Keep My Bones, Tape Deck Heart and Undefeated map a route between personal confession and social snapshots, built for communal choruses.
