Heaven 17

Heaven 17 return to Scotland with Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory at the helm, a duo born from the first split of The Human League and central to the early synth-pop wave. Their sound blends drum-machine patterns, elastic basslines and a touch of funk and soul, carried by Gregory’s baritone. On stage, they revisit the tracks that defined them — Temptation, Let Me Go, (We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang — alongside cuts from Penthouse and Pavement, The Luxury Gap and later albums.

Since Ian Craig Marsh’s departure, the project turns live with Ware and Gregory fronting a band that keeps the arrangements sharp without losing the pop bite. The set spans political edge and melodic craft, bridging club grooves and British pop songwriting from the 80s to now. Expect a tour through their catalogue, from sleek synth workouts to big, memorable choruses, delivered with the assurance of a group that knows its strengths on stage.
