Tricky brings a newly conceived live show to The Palais, Nottingham, on 10 May 2026. Built around a reimagining of his catalogue, the set draws a line from his early work to recent releases, folding in shadowy vocals, off‑kilter grooves and bass‑heavy atmospheres rooted in Bristol’s trip-hop. First heard alongside Massive Attack and later in collaborations with artists like PJ Harvey and Björk, he keeps stretching form and texture on stage, stripping songs back to their pulse and pushing them forward with lean, minimal arrangements. The performance leans on contrast — hushed delivery against rough beats, slow-burn tension and sudden flashes — letting familiar tracks land differently. Admiration has come from many corners, David Bowie among them; here, the focus stays on the music, rebuilt for the room.
