The Funeral Portrait lands in London at Downstairs At The Dome on 30 June 2026. Formed in the mid-2010s in Atlanta, the band blends alternative rock, emo and post-hardcore: taut guitars, melodic refrains and a dark, theatrical edge, all grounded in straightforward songwriting. After cutting its teeth on the local independent circuit, the group moved onto U.S. rock tours and tightened its approach toward a modern hard rock sound while keeping its emo backbone intact. Their 2024 album, Greetings From Suffocate City, pulled these threads together, and the single Suffocate City with Spencer Charnas highlighted their link between contemporary alt-rock, post-hardcore tension and a macabre aesthetic.
