Steel Panther

Steel Panther brings its tongue-in-cheek glam metal to The LCR in Norwich on 20 July 2026. Born on the Los Angeles club scene in the late 1990s, the band has crafted a show that blends solid hard rock with a deliberate nod to the codes of 1980s hair metal. Fronted by singer Michael Starr and guitarist Satchel, with Spyder on bass, Steel Panther delivers commanding backing vocals, catchy guitar melodies and stage-ready solos, all underpinned by an openly comic sensibility.

On stage the band draws from its entire discography, from Feel the Steel and Balls Out to All You Can Eat, Lower the Bar, Heavy Metal Rules and On the Prowl. The songs alternate punchy riffs, anthemic choruses and old-school instrumental passages featuring talkbox, harmonies and interaction with the audience. The theatrical aspect remains central, with a deliberately exaggerated aesthetic and highly stylized stagecraft, without ever compromising the precision of the performance. The set is built on unapologetic hair-metal nostalgia, careful arrangements and direct energy—designed for live shows.
