On 18 June 2026 at Delamere Forest, Garbage and Skunk Anansie share the bill for a co-headline show, with Du Blonde opening.
Garbage formed in Madison in 1993 around producers and musicians Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker with Scottish singer Shirley Manson. The band forged a sound at the crossroads of alternative rock and electronics, with traces of grunge and trip‑hop and a studio craft that frames Manson’s voice up front. From their self‑titled debut and Version 2.0 to more recent albums like Not Your Kind of People, Strange Little Birds and No Gods No Masters, they pursue a dark, textural rock that balances programmed beats and sharp guitars.
Skunk Anansie emerged in London in 1994 with Skin, Ace, Cass and (from 1995) Mark Richardson. Their writing cuts across alternative and hard rock, punk and metal, with funk and dub elements woven in, and lyrics that often tackle power, identity, race, sexuality and religion. Paranoid & Sunburnt, Stoosh and Post Orgasmic Chill set the template, later extended on Wonderlustre, Black Traffic and Anarchytecture, for a live approach that is direct and melodic.
Opening, Du Blonde is the project of Beth Jeans Houghton from Newcastle upon Tyne. Under this name, she steers her songs toward a rawer blend of psych, garage and punk with pop instincts, from Welcome Back to Milk to Lung Bread for Daddy, Homecoming and 2024’s Sniff More Gritty. Collaborations with Shirley Manson echo through a set built on rough guitars and clear melodic lines.
