L.A. Guns

Formed on the Sunset Strip in the early 80s, L.A. Guns fuse glam metal grit with classic rock melody. Founded by guitarist Tracii Guns and long driven by the voice of Phil Lewis, the band fixed its sound on L.A. Guns, Cocked & Loaded and Hollywood Vampires, mixing saturated riffs, 70s-rooted grooves and blues-tinged ballads. After detours into heavier and punkier territories in the 90s and 2000s, the Guns–Lewis reunion in the 2010s pushed a more melodic hard rock line on The Missing Peace, The Devil You Know, Checkered Past and Black Diamonds.

On 31 October 2026 at Manchester Academy, they bring a set that traces this arc: early staples alongside newer tracks, tight rhythms and guitar-led hooks. Tracii’s playing sits front and center, with Phil’s grainy timbre threading old and new material. The show leans into the band’s original glam metal aesthetic while leaving space for the modern bite heard on recent records, delivered with the kind of direct energy that suits these songs on stage.
