On 19 November 2026 at Victoria Hall in Stoke-on-Trent, Jools Holland brings his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, a big-band project built around his piano and a horn-driven groove. A founding member of Squeeze, Holland has long explored boogie-woogie, rhythm and blues and swing, folding quick right-hand runs and a rolling left hand into arrangements for saxes, trumpets and a tight rhythm section. On stage, the Orchestra moves through jump blues, stride colours, soul accents and reworked standards alongside pieces from his own albums, with room for brass exchanges and extended solos. The piano stays front and centre, cueing crisp hits, call-and-response lines and a percussive pulse that anchors the band. Years of touring and collaborations across pop, soul and blues feed a set that balances ensemble punch with space for individual voices, led by a bandleader whose playing keeps the music lively and grounded.
