Albert Lee & His Band
Albert Lee is a guitarist whose work spans decades, genres and generations. He has shared stages and studios with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and The Crickets. Albert Lee & His Band perform at The Flowerpot, Derby, on 2 October 2026 at 8:00 pm.
Born in Britain, he began in London's rock 'n' roll scene in the 1960s, playing alongside musicians such as Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe.
After relocating to the United States, he worked in country music while blending rock 'n' roll. His speed, accuracy and articulation became his trademarks.
He has released solo albums and collaborated widely. In 2002, he received a Grammy Award for his contribution to Foggy Mountain Breakdown. He continues to tour with his Ernie Ball Music Man guitar.
His picking style blends rock 'n' roll and country. His performance of Country Boy is a regular feature of his live shows.
