The Fratellis « Celebrating 20 Years of Costello Music »

The Fratellis mark two decades of Costello Music with a homecoming show on 20 February 2027 at O2 Academy Glasgow. Formed in Glasgow in 2005, the trio of Jon, Baz and Mince Fratelli defined a straightforward indie rock, fuelled by garage and power pop, with catchy choruses and no‑nonsense guitars. Their 2006 debut album laid down anthems like "Chelsea Dagger" and "Whistle for the Choir", crafted to be sung back by crowds.

This anniversary date puts back at the centre the album that started their story—its feverish energy and tight grooves—while opening onto the rest of their trajectory: We Need Medicine, Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied, In Your Own Sweet Time and Half Drunk Under a Full Moon. Between nervy riffs, candid melodies and a sense of rhythm inherited from British rock of the sixties and seventies, the band revisits its beginnings and draws on a catalogue that has been strengthened over years of touring.
