Angine de Poitrine

On 14 October 2026 at O2 Academy Glasgow, Angine de Poitrine, the instrumental duo of Klek and Khn de Poitrine, brings a sound that sits between experimental rock, math rock and a jagged post-punk pulse, built with the patient mechanics of techno. Since 2023, they’ve written through short motifs that stack and recede, letting a dry, precise drum language push microtonal guitar and bass lines, while chromatic phrases slip in quiet tensions inside often asymmetrical forms. With no vocals, the focus stays on movement, variation and rhythmic displacement: themes shift, gridlines slide, grooves tighten, then give way to new angles.

Their 2024 release Vol. 1 set the framework and carried them across Quebec stages, including a passage at the Montreal Jazz Festival. In Glasgow, they shape a set that favors build and release over ornament, where repetition evolves rather than loops, and the energy of rock meets a lean, kinetic minimalism.
