Tommy Nilsson

On 2 August 2026 at Bjerreds Station in Bjärred, Sweden, Tommy Nilsson steps up with the melodic pop-rock that has shaped his path from the 80s to today. The Swedish singer and composer moves between AOR edges, ballads, schlager inflections and flashes of harder rock. He first sang with Horizont, then cut a debut solo album in France in 1981. In 1985 he joined Easy Action and fronted the 1986 album That Makes One. The late 80s pushed him further into the spotlight with the duet Allt som jag känner alongside Tone Norum, then En dag, which won Melodifestivalen 1989 and took him to Eurovision. Through the 90s he leaned into Swedish pop ballads with songs like Öppna din dörr and albums such as It!, Follow the Road..., En kvinnas man and Så nära. He has kept the line steady since with Tiden före nu, Stay Straight on the Current Road and Samma människa, while reuniting with Easy Action on stage from 2019.
