Slomosa

On October 7, 2026, Rome's Traffic Club, at Via Prenestina 738, welcomes Slomosa, a quartet from Bergen that has christened its sound "tundra rock": a Nordic take on '90s Californian stoner and desert rock. In concert they bring a compact, melodic punch—saturated guitars that carve heavy riffs, a flexible rhythm section, and crisp choruses intended to stick without psychedelic frills. After their early singles and the self-titled debut album in 2020, the band honed their songwriting with Tundra Rock (2024), which produced leaner, more incisive tracks built for the stage.

Live, Slomosa work with dynamics: they slow down and restart, open up granite-like spaces and then tighten them into straight grooves that make you nod your head. Clean vocal lines and essential harmonies rest on low-tuned guitars and a sound that is at once dry, cold and sandy. A set that intersects impact and melody, between tight stoner and essential desert rock.
