Antony Szmierek + nevarno!

On 23 April 2026 Antony Szmierek arrives at Il Covo Club in Bologna. A poet, writer and producer from Manchester, he brings to the stage his personal blend of spoken word, indie pop and electronic music: an almost-rap flow, narrative lyrics and choruses that hook onto elastic rhythms, somewhere between soft house and slowed-down hip-hop. His songs spring from everyday stories, urban portraits and intimate details, with spare arrangements that leave room for the words and the narrative’s dynamics.

At the center of the set is his debut album Service Station at the End of the Universe, now available in a digital deluxe edition. The set may feature tracks such as The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Fallacy, The Great Pyramid of Stockport, Yoga Teacher and Angie’s Wedding, alongside the new That Face You Make When It’s Raining and Girlypops. Live, Szmierek plays on the contrast between dancefloor euphoria and more introspective moments, shifting the energy from the club to close listening without losing contact with the audience.
