On 5 June 2026, the Rex Club will host Octave One live, with STL-P and Whereisfenix. Born in Detroit in the late 1980s, brothers Lenny and Lawrence Burden have carried Octave One from a family collective to a stage duo. With their label 430 West Records, they have carved out a territory between Detroit techno, house and soul influences. Black Water, released in 2000 featuring the voice of Ann Saunderson, marked a warmer, more vocal turn while maintaining a steady rhythmic drive. In concert, Octave One performs on machines in a format close to improvisation, stringing together percussive patterns, melodic lines and repetitive loops crafted for the dancefloor.
STL-P and Whereisfenix will support the live set from behind the decks, with techno and house selections to establish and then prolong the atmosphere. Join us at the Rex Club in Paris for a night centered on a live act from Detroit and complementary DJ sets.
