Info
Pennywise bring their California punk to Edmonton EXPO Centre on July 26, 2026. Formed in Hermosa Beach at the tail end of the 80s South Bay hardcore wave, the band carved out a fast, melodic skate-punk sound anchored by Fletcher Dragge’s sharp guitar work, Jim Lindberg’s straight-ahead vocals, and a rhythm section built for speed. From the early albums Pennywise and Unknown Road through About Time and Full Circle, their songs balance anthemic choruses with social, political, and personal themes; later releases like Land of the Free?, From the Ashes, The Fuse and Never Gonna Die keep that focus intact on Epitaph Records.
On stage, Pennywise go lean and loud, stacking shout-along hooks and breakneck sprints with no frills. With Randy Bradbury on bass since 1996 and Lindberg back at the mic, the set can sweep across decades without softening the edges—skate-park riffs, gang vocals, and that communal surge that often closes their shows. A direct hit of West Coast punk in Edmonton, played by a band that knows exactly how to turn a room into a chorus.
