Info
MISSIO plays The Grand Social, Dublin, on 13 September 2026. Formed in Austin, Texas, the duo teams vocalist, writer and producer Matthew Brue with producer and co-writer David Butler. Their music sits between alternative electronics, pop‑tinged rock and atmospheric hip‑hop: firm rhythms, broad synth layers and a voice kept front and center, with lyrics that face isolation, addiction and mental health head‑on. After early demos and an attention‑grabbing stop at SXSW, they released the EP I Don’t Even Care About You (2016), then the albums Loner (2017), The Darker the Weather // The Better the Man (2019), Can You Feel the Sun (2020), VILLAIN (2022) and I Am Cinco (2024). The Skeletons EP series and several short 2023 releases pushed a more fragmented, introspective writing phase. On stage, MISSIO tighten these contrasts into a set that moves from heavy pulse to slow‑burn tension, letting melodies surface under raw edges. A clear snapshot of ten years of music, carried by Brue’s lead and Butler’s production instincts.
