Chat Pile

Chat Pile land at Button Factory, Dublin, on 20 August 2026. Formed in Oklahoma City in 2019, the quartet of Raygun Busch, Luther Manhole, Stin and Cap’n Ron works a raw seam between noise rock and sludge metal. On stage, their music moves from slow, grinding weight to sharp bursts, with dissonant riffs, heavy rhythmic figures and vocals that switch from spoken tension to a hoarse yell. The songs carry a grounded sense of place and a blunt, almost documentary feel that runs through their imagery and sound.

After two EPs in 2019, the band pulled their early work together before releasing God’s Country in 2022, which brought them to a wider independent audience in the US and Europe. Touring followed, including a Roadburn set later issued as Live at Roadburn 2023. Cool World in 2024 pushed their palette further, folding in a few post-punk shades without easing the pressure. Along the way, they kept exploring shorter formats, from a split with Nerver to a 2025 collaboration with Hayden Pedigo, In the Earth Again. On this date in Dublin, expect a dense, physical set that leans into their most abrasive material.
