Info
Sleeping At Last, the project of Chicago-born songwriter and composer Ryan O’Neal, comes to Göta Lejon in Stockholm on May 3, 2026. Started in the late 1990s as a Wheaton indie rock trio, the band released Ghosts in 2003 before returning to independence for Keep No Score (2006) and Storyboards (2009). The name then stayed with Ryan O’Neal alone, who shifted toward a more intimate palette, blending indie folk, orchestral pop and ambient textures.
Since then, his writing has unfolded through thematic cycles: the monthly Yearbook series (2010–2011) and the conceptual Atlas projects (Year One in 2014, Year Two in 2019), drawing on astronomy, psychology and the natural world. Built around piano, strings and careful arrangements, his songs often find their way into films, series and trailers.
On stage, expect a focused set shaped by those cycles, moving from sparse piano pieces to layered arrangements with strings and subtle electronics. Melodies breathe, dynamics stretch and lyrics trace small details with a quiet precision. A chance to hear the Atlas and Yearbook material in a live setting that keeps the writing front and center, in the clear acoustics of Göta Lejon.
