Darren Kiely

Darren Kiely brings his folk-pop storytelling to Hybrydy, Złota 7, Warszawa, on October 23, 2026. Born and raised in County Cork, the Irish singer grew up with traditional music before switching to songcraft of his own. First trained on tin whistle and then fiddle, he later picked up the guitar, a trio that still shapes his live sound: clear melodies, acoustic textures and a voice that goes straight to the point, somewhere between Celtic roots and contemporary folk.

He began singing in 2019 after earning distinctions in the Irish traditional scene, then moved to New York in 2022 to push his project forward. Since then, he has released a string of singles — How Could You Love Me, Ella, Time To Leave, Mom & Dad — that sketch out a personal map of family ties, breakups and small turning points. On stage, expect that mix of intimate ballads and more driving folk-pop, where fiddle and whistle lines weave through steady guitar and keep the storytelling at the center.
