Info
On 22 October 2026 at Sibeliustalo in Lahti, Miljoonasade marks four decades with the Lapsuuden sankarit anniversary tour. Formed in Jyväskylä in 1986, the band has built its sound around Finnish-language songwriting that blends pop-savvy melodies with straight-ahead guitars and stories drawn from everyday life, memory and urban or intimate landscapes. Fronted by singer-lyricist Heikki Salo with Matti Nurro, Ari Laaksonen, Jarmo Hovi and keyboardist Tomi Aholainen, Miljoonasade plays as a tight unit where narrative ballads rub shoulders with Finnish new wave colors and melodic rock.
The set looks across the catalogue: early highlights from Pesuhuoneesta keittiöön, Laukauksia viulukotelossa and Veitsen valossa, 90s chapters and 2000s returns, up to recent material from Sähköinen Rouva Maa, Karkumorsian and Ohita intro. After a pause in 2010 and a return to stages in 2014, the group balances familiar favorites with later work, tracing a line from first singles to today. In Lahti, Miljoonasade revisits its different eras with the same focus on songcraft and ensemble feel that has carried them through tours and festivals across Finland.
