Erdling

On November 12, 2026 at Viper Room, Landstraßer Hauptstraße 38, 1030 Wien, Austria, Erdling brings its Neue Deutsche Härte mix of industrial metal drive, dark rock textures and clear, direct German choruses. Formed in Essen in 2014 around Neill Freiwald and Niklas Kahl, the band has shaped a sound that balances weight and melody, with lyrics that draw on Nordic myths, nature and symbolic figures. From the first single Blitz und Donner in 2015 to the albums Aus den Tiefen (2016), Supernova (2017), Dämon (2018), Yggdrasil (2020), Helheim (2021) and Bestia (2023), Erdling has pushed toward a darker, more metallic approach without losing its catchy core. The group has crossed paths on tour with Unzucht and Megaherz, and invited Robert Dahn and Chris Pohl on select tracks, adding different shades to its palette. Led by Freiwald, the current line-up unites Robin Sem Vedrfölnir, Christian Schäfer and Ole Enders, a formation that leans on tight riffs, steady grooves and chorus-led dynamics. Live, expect sharp contrasts between pounding sections and atmospheric breaks, with German vocals front and center.
