Deep Purple bring their hard-rock heritage to Pisa on 16 July 2026 at Piazza dei Cavalieri, for Pisa Summer Knights. Formed in late-1960s England, the band helped shape a sound built on heavy guitar riffs, Hammond organ lines and Ian Gillan’s distinctive voice. Albums like In Rock, Machine Head and Fireball, and songs such as Smoke on the Water, Highway Star and Child in Time, marked a turning point for rock and influenced many that followed.
On stage, they keep that blend of precision and drive: tight rhythms, extended solos and the ongoing dialogue between organ and guitar. The set moves from early staples to later material, with space for improvisation and dynamic shifts that let the songs breathe.
This concert is the first of only two Italian dates on the tour, and the only stop in central and southern Italy, a chance to hear a catalogue that spans decades in the unique setting of Piazza dei Cavalieri.
