Info
On 10 July 2026 at Knust, Hamburg, MARO opens a new chapter with a full-band show. The Lisbon multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer has built a body of work since 2018 that spans five albums and an EP, shaped by Berklee years and steady touring, moving from intimate acoustic settings to more electronic terrain.
She broadened her circle with ITSAME, MARO!, a 100-episode collaboration series with guests like Eric Clapton, Lizzy McAlpine and Mayra Andrade, and reached a wider audience at Eurovision 2022 with saudade, saudade. Her releases map a shifting palette: can you see me? blends pop, trap, world and folk; hortelã, recorded with Catalan guitarists Darío Barroso and Pau Figueres and mostly sung in Portuguese, won the José Afonso Award; LIFELINE, co-created with NASAYA in 2024, leans into an electronic pulse.
Between Jacob Collier’s DJESSE tour and shared stages with Odesza, Parcels and Shawn Mendes, MARO has honed a live language built on layered vocals, nimble guitars and understated beats. At Knust, she stitches these threads together and previews SO MUCH HAS CHANGED, her upcoming album announced as a celebration of a brighter, upbeat sound.
