Michelle Gurevich brings her slow-burning pop noir to Neue Welt in Berlin on 26 February 2027. Known first as Chinawoman and rooted in a Russophone heritage, she writes intimate songs with lo‑fi edges, sober keyboards and a warm contralto that leans toward chanson and dark romanticism. Her latest chapter, the album It Was the Moment, shapes the set with songs written and produced alone, circling themes of passion taken to its limit, fleeting encounters, the loss of mother and home, and the edge where clarity and unravelling blur. The mood moves from shadowed, almost Lynchian realism to dry wit and measured melodrama, keeping melody at the core.
