The Lemon Twigs

On 24 September 2026 The Lemon Twigs will play at Melkweg in Amsterdam. The New York duo of brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario builds on a mix of rock, orchestral pop and power pop, with clear echoes of the 1960s and 1970s. Raised in a musical family and active on stage and in the studio from an early age, they developed an approach featuring tight vocal harmonies, unexpected tempo changes and melodies that often shift direction. Live, the brothers alternate between guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, usually supplemented by an expanded band.

Since Do Hollywood (4AD, 2016) and the EP Brothers of Destruction (2017), The Lemon Twigs have moved fluidly between baroque hooks and compact pop songs. With Go to School (2018) they opted for a narrative approach, and on Songs for the General Public (2020) they made the songwriting more direct. Their recent records Everything Harmony (2023) and A Dream Is All We Know (2024), released on Captured Tracks, emphasize melancholic pop-rock with richly layered vocals and ballads. Live, that palette comes together in a set that places different phases of their work side by side, from lavish arrangements to tighter guitar-driven songs.
