Jorge Drexler

On October 9, 2026 at the Grand Rex in Paris, Uruguayan musician, composer and singer Jorge Drexler will present Taracá, his new album released in March 2026, on stage. Since his earliest records he has carved out a personal path between Spanish-language song and South American rhythms, where milonga, candombe, bossa nova, pop and folk answer one another, with particular attention paid to the lyrics. Fifteen albums later, he continues a creative approach guided by curiosity, experimentation and a poetic sensibility that is distinctly his own.

This tour unfolds a reimagined show, accompanied by seven musicians. The pulse of the candombe serves as the guiding thread for a repertoire in which the songs from Taracá occupy the centre, interspersed with pieces that have marked his career. Between acoustic elements and subtle electronic touches, the arrangements place voice and songwriting at the forefront, betting on collective interplay and the group’s dynamics. The set is conceived to make Taracá resonate with the different stages of his universe, and to open new bridges between the colors that define them.
