Hunee is a DJ with a strong bond to the dancefloor. His sets feel like shared celebrations that span time, place and genre. There is an exploratory energy at the core of his performances, where each set evolves alongside the crowd.

Raised in Bochum, a former industrial city in West Germany, by culturally active parents from South Korea, Hunee moved to Berlin immediately after finishing school. There, he immersed himself in record digging and the city's rapidly growing club scene, shaping a musical identity rooted in curiosity, freedom and emotional connection.

His open approach to music, crossing eras, styles and global influences, has taken him around the world. Whether playing an intimate all-night set in a basement or closing a festival mainstage, Hunee delivers sets focused on quality, emotion and storytelling.

Now based once again in Amsterdam, a city central to his musical journey over the past decade, Hunee is part of the Rush Hour family and closely connected to the local scene through platforms such as Dekmantel and Red Light Radio. Through his label and platform Lifetones, he continues to expand his artistic vision and his personal take on club culture.

His own productions, released on labels like Rush Hour, W.T. and Future Times, reflect the same diversity: funk, soul, house heritage and a distinctive sensibility recognized in contemporary dance music.
