Thibault Cauvin

On 28 November 2026, at the Salle Marcel Sembat in Chalon-sur-Saône, Thibault Cauvin presents Alter Ego Tour, a new chapter in a project conceived between performance and writing. The French guitarist performs an entirely original repertoire, composed for the occasion and linked to Alter Ego, his first novel. Solo with his classical guitar, he blends previously unheard compositions and short text fragments in a restrained form where the music remains central, supported by understated staging.

Winner of 36 international awards and having performed in more than a hundred countries, Cauvin has broadened the scope of the classical guitar through collaborations and crossovers, including a recent duo with -M-. Drawing on a family background in rock, his direct and open approach informs a clear melodic writing and pieces that move among influences without seeking effect.

On this tour he brings this journey together into a continuous musical narrative: new themes, brief spoken transitions used sparingly, and precise playing that privileges listening and intimacy. The concert is conceived as a personal passage, where each piece opens a chapter and invites a rediscovery of the classical guitar in the present.
