Joe Yorke, Peytcho

On May 22, 2026 at Le Kilowatt in Vitry-sur-Seine, Joe Yorke brings his reggae shaped by British sound system culture. A singer, producer and composer from England, he moves forward with a clear vocal tone and flexible songwriting rooted in rocksteady and Jamaican dub. His palette admits soul and folk as readily as dub-techno textures and more experimental sounds. Based in Bristol and at the helm of his label Rhythm Steady, he links studio and stage with sets where the energy of the live performance meets the spirit of the dances. He continues his path with his third album, Hopeless, which extends this blend of roots and modernity.

Peytcho, a singer and keyboardist born in Paris and connected to Kanaky – New Caledonia, carves out a path where heritage and struggles intertwine. From 2017 she has performed alongside Joseph Cotton and later with artists such as Edou, Zion Head, Massa Jah Den and Merlot (Baobab), refining a voice where reggae intersects with kaneka, soul and R&B. Her music unites melodic tenderness and forthright lyrics, a space for expression and memory that questions colonial legacies and carries liberation struggles. Her stage presence asserts a sincere voice, attentive to contemporary narratives and resistances.
