La Lom

On July 7, 2026, LA LOM plays Rocca Malatestiana in Cesena, Italy, for Quartolato Festival. The Los Angeles League of Musicians is an instrumental trio formed by Zac Sokolow, Jake Faulkner and Nicholas Baker. Born out of 2019 residencies at the Roosevelt Hotel, the group turned ambient sets into a compact, melodic repertoire where styles meet and circulate without strain.

Their music drifts between 50s–60s soul and Mexican boleros, slides into cumbia sonidera and Peruvian chicha, and nods to California country. Themes unfold slowly, rhythms anchor the pulse, and melodies carry stories without lyrics. Live, the flow moves with an easy swing: bolero sway, cumbia shuffle, desert-inflected twang, and sun-washed echoes from LA’s crosscurrents. Rooted in the city yet tracing lines to Buenos Aires, Durango and Venice Beach, LA LOM builds a set that maps connections across the Americas, with arrangements that leave space for tone, texture and groove.
