Temples

Temples will play on 3 November 2026 at Melkweg in Amsterdam. Since 2012 the Kettering band has been building its own psychedelic universe where rock, psych-pop, indie and a touch of glam effortlessly converge. Founded by James Bagshaw and Tom Walmsley and later expanded with Adam Smith and Sam Toms, Temples revolves around melody, layered guitars, vocal harmonies and keyboards that colour their sound. With Sun Structures (2014) — full of ’60s references — they set the tone; on Volcano (2017) they shifted toward a lighter, more motoric pop; Hot Motion (2019) added density; and Exotico (2023) broadened the palette with baroque overtones and pulsing rhythms.

Live, this translates into songs with clear structures and arrangements that are constantly in motion: catchy vocal hooks that linger, motorik undercurrents, analog synth textures and guitars that build in layers. The set draws from their entire discography and illustrates the band’s evolution — from a dreamlike trip to a broader, more mobile sound — without losing sight of melody. An evening for anyone in the mood for colour, rhythm and a band that has carefully charted its own course.
