Action Bronson

On July 6, 2026 Action Bronson will perform at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Queens rapper, once a chef in Flushing, swapped the stove for the mic in the early 2010s and built his own universe, rooted in the East Coast tradition. His voice is low and warm, his flow smooth; he rides over soul, jazz and funk samples, often with a psychedelic edge. Between punchlines and wordplay he slips in concrete imagery, humour and culinary details, as if you are leafing through his notebook. Live he leans on that sample-based sound, leaving room for groove and unexpected turns.

He broke through with Dr. Lecter and the Blue Chips tapes with Party Supplies, followed by Rare Chandeliers with The Alchemist and the EP Saaab Stories. After that came Mr. Wonderful, Blue Chips 7000, White Bronco, Only for Dolphins and the grittier Cocodrillo Turbo. Expect a set that moves through that catalogue: from loose, rolling bangers to narrative cuts, with hooks and ad-libs the audience picks up. Firmly anchored in New York rap, he has a taste for samples and storytelling.
